Welcome!

My name is Katelyn LeBlanc and I am an artist from Lafayette, Louisiana. I've always had a passion for art for as long as I can remember. I carried my love for painting, drawing and sculpting into my college years at University of Louisiana where I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, concentration in painting. My paintings comes in a variety of styles; anything from large scale textured abstract pieces to realistic portraits, and lots in between. I enjoy switching up my medium and style often, going back and forth between painting and sculpting with clay. I am constantly experimenting with different elements and materials, creating a wide collection of different pieces.

As far back as my memory goes, art played a pivotal role in my happiness and identity. I was in honors and advanced placement classes for art during my time at Saint Thomas More Highschool, and working with ceramics after school. During my senior year, a few of my pieces were selected for an exhibition at LSU and then again for the District Rally Art Competition where I placed first. This really gave me the confidence to major in Fine Arts at UL. When I was 18 years old, my best friend started an instagram account and began posting my art, telling me that people were going to buy my pieces. Before I knew it, orders were flooding in! I continued doing commission paintings for all four years I was in college, and realized that I can take this to the next level. I am eternally lucky to be able to build a career from something I love, and I am reminded of that everyday.
